BRIDGEVILLE - Eli Mast, formerly of Bridgeville, died on Monday, March 9, 2009, in his home in Blackville, S.C. He was 95. Most of his life Mr. Mast was a farmer in Bridgeville. He was also a member of Cannon Mennonite Church in Bridgeville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Jantzi Mast; five brothers, Dan, Levi, William, Alvin and Fred; and four sisters, Sarah Mast, Katie Mast, Mary Troyer and Emma Kipfer. He is survived by his four sons, Ivan, Maylon, and Arlin of Greenwood, and Steve of Catharpin, Va.; three daughters, Rhoda Hildebrand of Phoenix, Ariz., Jewel Beran of Plano, Texas, and Marcella Williams of Blackville, S.C.; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at Cannon Mennonite Church, 8110 Cannon Road, Bridgeville. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at the church. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Cannon Mennonite Church, P.O. Box 718, Bridgeville, DE 19933. Arrangements by Fleischauer Funeral Home, Greenwood.
