Edward E. 'Tobe' Oliphant, 93 GUMBORO - Edward E. "Tobe" Oliphant, died Wednesday, March 17, 2010. He was 93. He was preceded in death by his wife, Delaphine Mitchell Oliphant; and his sisters, Helen, Jerdie and Peach. Tobe is survived by his sons, Donald (Carol), Ronnie (Trish), Vaughn (Shirly), Douglas, Dennis, Richard (Carol), and Jeffrey (Libby); his daughters, Norma Lee Short, Becky Evans (Donald), Shery Shultie (Jeff), Lauessa Dennis (Ricky), and Peggy Jalot (Rick); his sister, Gladys Layton (Jay); 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family; and beloved canine friend, "Blackie". Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, March 22, at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Millsboro Cemetery.
