GEORGETOWN - Edna P. McLean of Georgetown died Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, in Harrison Senior Living, Georgetown. She was 97.
She was born in Georgetown, daughter of the late Wingate and Gertrude (Rogers) Parker.
Mrs. McLean worked for the state of Delaware Health Department in Georgetown before retiring.
She was a life member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Georgetown and the Republican Women's Club in Georgetown.
Mrs. McLean enjoyed going to the beach, traveling and spending Christmas and other holidays with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy McLean; an infant sister, Mildred Parker; two sisters, Marian Bryan and Beatrice Tyndall; a brother, John W. Parker; and two nieces, Mary Lou Shockley and Bonnie Bryan.
She is survived by her sister, Myrtle Marvel of Georgetown; her nieces, Joan Harrison of Salisbury, Md., and Sue Pepper-Whapham of Georgetown; her nephews, Butch Marvel and John Parker, both of Georgetown; and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, where friends may call after 1 p.m.
Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Georgetown.
Instead of flowers, contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 7 S. King St., Georgetown, DE 19947; or Harrison Senior Living, 110 W. North St., Georgetown, DE 19947.
