Dorothy Muntz Mosley Morgan passed away on Dec. 18, 2018 in the presence of her family.
Known to her friends and family as "Dot" or "Dottie" she was born June 2, 1926 in Millville, N.J. as the second oldest child to the late Joseph R. Mosley Sr. and Martie Muntz Mosley. She was married to the late Creed S. Morgan for 59 years and they were very proud of their three children, their grandchildren, and their friends and family they made and fostered over the years.
Dorothy retired as a USAF Civilian Employee after 23 years as the Dover AFB Commissary Front End Manager from 1965-1988. After retirement she enjoyed several jobs working as a sales associate for Wilmington Dry Goods in Dover, TJ Maxx in Dover, and as a Bus Driver's Aide for the Kent County Community School Transportation System. She had a deep love and passion for children and was particularly close to the kids at The Children's Secret Garden in Dover. She was a member of the Leni Lenape tribe of New Jersey.
Her loves included children, dogs (especially Pomeranians), shopping (QVC), watching her favorite TV shows Judge Judy and Cheaters and cheering on her Philadelphia Eagles. She also enjoyed taking vacation trips with family and friends. Especially cruises and trips to Branson, Mo. She was accustomed to hard work and took great pride in her work. Her favorite saying was "if you don't want it done right, then don't give it to me!" Another favorite quote was that "you are as good as any other person who ever walked the face of this earth, but you're no better!" She deeply loved her family both in Delaware and in New Jersey. She will be most remembered for her infectious smile and beautiful blue eyes that lifted everyone's spirits....with a powerful laugh that you can never forget. She was extremely generous always giving of herself to friends and family and never asking for anything in return.
She is survived by her sons, Gerald C. Morgan of Dover, Jay P. Morgan of Hanover, Md.; and a daughter, Tracy S. Yannacci and her husband David of Dover; sisters, Betty Pierce and Diane Durham both of Bridgeton, N.J.; a brother, Herman "Tony" Mosley of Vineland, N.J. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an older sister, Sophia Pierce of Bridgeton, N.J.; younger sisters, Ardela Schnoor of Allentown, Pa., Margaret "Sissy" Ridgeway; and a younger brother, Joseph R. "Buck" Mosley Jr. of Bridgetown, N.J. She leaves behind three granddaughters, Dr. Paige A. Morgan of Dover, Courtney M. Yannacci of Manhattan, N.Y. and Whitney J. Yannacci of Jersey City, N.J.
