Dorothea M. Morris Ellis, 94

DOVER - Dorothea M. Morris Ellis of Dover died Sunday, July 1, 2007, in Courtland Manor, Dover. She was 94.

She was born in Dickson City, Pa., daughter of the late Robert J. and Beatrice Flaherty Morris.

Mrs. Ellis was a graduate of Wilkes-Barre General Hospital School of Nursing.

She was a registered nurse at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for 28 years, retiring in 1977.

Mrs. Ellis was a member of the Ridley Park Senior Center and the Church of St. Madeline in Ridley Park, Pa.

She died at Courtland Manor, where she had been lovingly cared for during the last seven years of her life. The family is grateful to the staff at Courtland Manor.

She is survived by a sister, Raelaine S. Swanner of Dover.

Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Church of St. Madeline, Penn Street and Morton Avenue, Ridley Park, where visitation will be held one hour prior.

Interment will be in Chester Rural Cemetery.
