HARRINGTON - Doris Exley Linton passed away Saturday, December 27, 2014 at home. Doris was born May 19, 1926 in Harrington, the daughter of the late Everett and Georgia (Kimmey) Hall. Doris was a graduate of Harrington High School, class of 1944 and from the Milford Nursing School in 1947. She worked as a registered nurse at the DuPont Seaford Nylon Plant for 21 years. Doris loved working with her hands and was a gifted quilter, making quilts for her friends, for those who were sick and hats for cancer patients. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Harrington for over 70 years, a member of the Harrington Senior Center, the Harrington Historical Society and a member of the Last Call Worship Center, Milford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, George Exley in 1981; and her second husband, Winston Linton in 2008; a niece, Donna Faye Marvel Zelano; and a sister, Thelma Hall Marvel. She is survived by many nieces and nephews as well as an adopted daughter and an adopted son. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, December 30 at the Last Call Worship Center, 723 S. Washington Street, Milford where friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Burial will be in Milford Community Cemetery, N. Walnut St., Milford.
