Doris B. Degnats

FELTON - Doris B. Degnats passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2018 at home. She was born in Dover, the daughter of the late Gillis and Annie (Clark) Brittingham. Doris was a graduate of Felton High School. She had worked at Playtex in Dover, retiring in 1992. Doris was a member of the Harrington Moose Lodge. She enjoyed blue grass music and was a past member of the Eastern Shore Blue Grass Association. In her later years, she was a NASCAR fan, especially of Dale Earnhardt, Jr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman E. Degnats; and all eight of her siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Degnats and her boyfriend, Nate of Felton; step-children, Herman 'Dick' E. (Maria) Degnats and Susan (Thomas) Herr; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Main Street, Felton, where friends may call after 1:00 pm. Burial will be held Hopkins Cemetery, Felton.
