Donna Lee Foster Taylor

DAGSBORO - Donna Lee Foster Taylor went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 27, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Lewisburg, Ohio, she is the daughter of the late Josiah Foster and Goldie Elizabeth Bunger Foster.
Donna served as a teacher's aide at Epworth Christian School in Laurel. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, canning, camping, painting, dancing, and singing. She was a member of Victory Tabernacle Church, and enjoyed cooking for the widow's group, Teen Challenge, God's Table at Centenary U.M. Church, and for anyone in need. Her family and friends were her greatest treasure and she will be remembered for the wonderful memories she created for them. Donna was always witnessing to everyone she met about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Even when she was sick, she continued to share to love of Jesus and serve the Him.
She is survived by her children, Gene Taylor, Jr. and his life partner Rhonda Timmons of Millsboro, Tom Taylor and his wife June of Georgetown, Lora Hastings and her husband Mark of Laurel, Sally Bradshaw and her husband Glenn of Dagsboro, and Beth Taylor of Laurel; her sister, Marilyn Fornshil of Ohio, fifteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews also survive her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren "Gene" Taylor, Sr.; her siblings, Joe Foster, Jr., Dean Foster, Milly Ditmer, and Daryl Foster. Her granddaughter Jessica Taylor also preceded her in death.
A viewing will be held on Saturday evening, May 5th, 2018, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home, 700 West Street, Laurel, DE 19956. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 6th, 2018 at 3 p.m. at the Victory Tabernacle Church, 28261 Seaford Road, Laurel, DE 19956. A viewing will be held at the church on Sunday one hour prior to the funeral service.
Contribution's may be made in Mrs. Taylor's memory to Delmarva Teen Challenge Home of Hope, P.O. Box 1271, Seaford, Delaware 19973.
Arrangements are in the care of the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home in Laurel, Delaware.
