Diana Ruth McCann, 45

SMYRNA - Diana Ruth McCann, of Smyrna, died suddenly, Friday, Oct. 23, 2009, at Kent General Hospital. She was 45. She was born Feb. 28, 1964, in St. Louis, Mo., to Amos Pratt and Ruth Meyer Pratt. Diana had worked as a teller at the Wilmington Trust Bank Co., in Pike Creek, while attending nursing school. For 6 years she was a registered nurse working at Christiana Hospital. Diana was a member of the New Castle Moose Lodge and St. Gabes in Old New Castle. She enjoyed cooking and baking and loved karaoke and shooting pool. She is survived by her parents, Amos and Ruth Pratt of St. James, Mo.; her fiancé, Dave Anderson of Smyrna; her son, Brandon Bonk of Laurel; her daughter, Christina Pauly of Marion, N.C.; her sister, Debbie Jenkins of Dover; her brothers, Amos Pratt, Jr. of St. Louis, Mo., Danny Pratt of St. James, Mo., and Phil Brown of St. Louis, Mo. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 27, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover. Friends may call Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. Interment will be at Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
