DOVER - Della C. Quillen, 86, of Dover, and formerly of Bishopville, Md., died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011, at Capital Healthcare Center in Dover. She was born in Bishop, Md., and was the daughter of the late Harry C. and Mirta (Hickman) Collins. She was a member of Wilson United Methodist Church in Bishopville, where she sang in the choir for many years and was a former member of the Bishopville Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Special thanks to Compassionate Care Hospice, especially Nancy, Gail, Rev. Troy and Shneeda, and Capital Healthcare Center for their love and tender care. She is survived by her husband, Harris B.Quillen of Dover; two daughters, Yvonne Q. Steele of Marydel, and Donna K. Breasure and her husband Jeff of Felton; a sister, Alberta Godfrey of Pocomoke, Md.; four grandchildren, Gary Steele, Dr. Jody S. Williams, Ryan Breasure, and Courtney Breasure; and two great-grandchildren, Gage and Lauren Williams. A chapel service will be 1 p.m., Monday, Feb. 21, at Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Millsboro, with Rev. Troy Dennis officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 702B Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington, DE 19805. Arrangements by Hastings Funeral Home, Selbyville.
