Deborah J. 'Mom Mom Favorite' Holmes, 43
SMYRNA - Deborah J. "Mom Mom Favorite" Holmes, of Smyrna, passed away at home with her family by her side, on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008. She was 43.
She was a graduate of Smyrna High School, and was employed for many years as a bookkeeper for Pearce & Moretto, New Castle.
Mrs. Holmes will be remembered as a strong, loving, good-hearted and determined wife, mother and daughter who loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Simpson; and her maternal grandmother, Agnes Boyles.
Mrs. Holmes is survived by her husband, Scott Holmes; a daughter, April Godfrey of Smyrna; her mother, Carol Timmons of Smyrna; two brothers, Joe Simpson of Smyrna and Daniel Timmons of Leipsic; a sister, Theresa Tier of Smyrna; two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Victoria Godfrey, both of Smyrna; and many other family members.
Services will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday in Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce Street, Smyrna, where friends may call at 10:30 a.m.
Interment will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear.
