NEWARK - David M. Todd, Jr., passed away on Nov. 10, 2016. He was born Feb. 16, 1943 in Dover, the son of the late David, Sr. and Mary Procko Todd. David served his country with honor in the US Army. He retired from ICI in Wilmington and also taught CPR and 1st Aid for the American Red Cross. David was a member of the American Legion Post 10 of Newark. He is survived by his brother, John Todd (Rose); two nephews, John, Jr., and Brian Todd (Diana L.); and two great-nephews. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016 at 10 a.m. in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St., in Smyrna. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Smyrna. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Jude Children's Hospital at www.stjude.org/GiveThanks or to Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org/donate. Condolence letters may be sent by visiting www.fariesfuneralhome.com.
