David Scott Luke 'Scott,' 61 MAGNOLIA - David Scott Luke "Scott," of Magnolia, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008, in Beebe Medical Center. He was 61. He was born April 24, 1947, in West Newton, Pa., to Harold Luke of Mt. Pleasant, Pa., and the late Elizabeth Swank Luke. Mr. Luke graduated from West Newton High School in 1965 and attended Delaware State University. Mr. Luke worked for Playtex Products as a Production Supervisor, retiring in 2003 with 33 years. Additionally he was a Flight Engineer for the 326 Reserve Squadron, Dover Air Force Base, and retired as a SMSgt. in 2004. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters. Scott was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, son and brother. He also enjoyed golfing and traveling. Mr. Luke was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Dover. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Patricia Luke of Magnolia; a son, Darren Luke and his wife Katherine of Magnolia; his father, Harold Luke of Mt. Pleasant, Pa.; a sister, Margaret Teslevich and her husband George of Mt. Pleasant; and two grandchildren, Juliana and Camille Luke. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State St., Dover. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford St., Dover. Interment will be in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Shepherd Place, 1362 S. Governors Ave., Dover, DE 19904; or Habitat for Humanity, Central Delaware HFH, P.O. Box 63, Dover, DE 19903-0063; or DAV, 183 South St., Camden, DE 19934.
