DOVER - David L. Minnick passed away Monday, Oct. 7, 2013 in Kent General Hospital, Dover. David was born on March 30, 1930 in Hazeltown, Pa., son of the late William and Nellie (Cabey) Minnick. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and later had worked as a supervisor for the DuPont Company, Seaford. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Randall Minnick. David is survived by his loving companion Teresita Minnick of Milford; a daughter, Sandra Cassady of Augusta, Ga.; a son, David S. Minnick of Bridgeton, N.J.; three grandchildren, R. Benjamin Cassady and his wife Liz of Washington, D.C., Samuel R. Cassady of Augusta, Ga., and R. Ryan Minnick and his wife Sam of Georgetown; and two great-granddaughters; many adopted nieces, nephews, and extended family. Committal service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013 at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com
