David Caldwell, age 57, of Hartly, DE passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, July 2, 2024.
Dave was born October 1, 1966, in Dover, Delaware to Mildred Roos Caldwell and the late Willis "Bill" Caldwell.
Dave was always a hard worker. He enjoyed working and always had to be busy tinkering with something. Dave worked at the Sports Complex in Rehoboth Beach and Fisherman's Wharf. He started his electrical career for Towles Electric. In 1990 Dave started his career with Playtex/Edgewell and was known as "The Tool Man", in December 2020 he retired after 30 years.
Dave's life-long dream was to be his own boss, and his dream came true, D/C Contracting LLC was full speed ahead. Dave's "staple" for every job was that he would write inside the electrical panel "Dave Caldwell a Good electrician and all-around Good guy".
He leaves behind his loving wife of 27 years, Hope, who he met in 1994 and married in 1997, his 4 fur babies, Tricky girl, Cricket man, Boyfriend and Cracker barrel. His mother, Mildred; siblings, Kenny (Lisa), Cathy (Theresa) and Laurie (Kenny); nieces and nephews, Beth (Matt), Chad (Ashley), Shannon (Dylan) and Erin Biddle, Great nieces and nephew Mavea, Farren and Jhett. Stepmother, Debra Caldwell; step siblings, Amanda, Mickey, Jeffrey, step niece; Lilianna. Step siblings; Kris Olsen (Dave) and their children, Cindy Bates (Mike) and their children, Kathy Olsen along with his Godson Cody Roos.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1-5pm, Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Evergreen Farms, 2826 Seven Hickories Road, Dover, DE 19904.
