Daniel William Teat Sr., 73

FREDERICA - Daniel William Teat Sr. of Frederica died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2007, in the Veterans Affairs Hospital, Elsmere. He was 73.

Mr. Teat was born Aug. 6, 1933, in Big Woods, Md., son of the late George "Edward" and Bessie Teat.

He was employed by Stelljes Paving and Excavating for 12 years.

Mr. Teat was a veteran of the Korean War, and traveled playing baseball during his tour.

In addition to his loving parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Teat-Smith; and two children, Barbara Ann Teat and Delvin Elmendorf.

He is survived by his children, Gail Combs and her husband James, Daniel Teat Jr. and his wife Joyce, Teresa Demby and her husband Leonard, Sheila Powell and her husband Steven; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two uncles, James Stewart and David Durant; a special friend, Mary Teat; his dear friends, Venita Elmendorf and Estell Clark; and two close friends, Randolph Teat and Roger Young.

Services will be 6 p.m. Wednesday in Mount Plymouth A.M.E. Church, Viola, where friends may view from 4 p.m.

Interment will be Thursday in the Veterans Cemetery, Bear.
