Daisy P. Richards

WYOMING - Daisy P. Richards, of Wyoming, passed away Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, at Courtland Manor Nursing Home, Dover, where she had been a resident for the last 2 ½ years. She was 76. She was born on July 14, 1934, in Cecilton, Md., daughter of the late Clarence and Anna (Lightcap) Pearce. She was one of 12 children. Daisy enjoyed life as a homemaker. Her hobbies included bottle collecting, antiques, doing crosswords and canning. She was an Orioles fan and enjoyed listening to radio sports. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Earl Richards in 2004; and Mildred and Guy Rogers that raised her; four sisters, Effie Pearce, Mildred Hurd, Mary Lavender and Marian Reed; and two brothers, Clarence Jr., and Ander J. Pearce. Daisy is survived by three children, Kenneth Earl Richards, Loretta Gail Grimmett and Roger Allen Richards, all from Wyoming; and two grandchildren, Rebecca Spring Farrow of North Carolina, and Jeremy Lee Grimmett of Wyoming. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 12, at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Burial will be private.
