Clarence W. Sullivan, 81 DOVER - Clarence W. Sullivan, Sr. departed this life on May 30, 2010, at Kent General Hospital. He was 81 years old. Clarence was born in Dover on July 8, 1928. He was the son of the late John W. and Helen Sullivan. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Helen Sullivan, Mildred McKinney and Virginia Tribbett. He is survived by his wife, Carrie R. Sullivan with 56 years of marriage. He leaves behind one daughter, Alice Sullivan, Dover; two sons, Clarence Sullivan, Jr. of Newark, Jeffrey Sullivan of Dover; one daughter-in-law, Gloria Sullivan of Newark; three grandchildren, Quinton Sullivan, Dover, Jerome Cross, Dover, Jason Sullivan, Newark; one great-grandson, Jaquan Sullivan, Dover; four loving sisters, Dorothy Waples, Dover, Grace Williams, Dover, Barbara Durham, Dover and Pauline Sells, Dover; three devoted brothers, John Sullivan, Dover, Larry Sullivan, Cheswold, and Charles Sullivan, Wyoming; two sisters-in-law, Gina Sullivan, Wyoming, Jackie Sullivan, Dover; and one brother-in-law, Raymond Sells, Dover; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Viewing will be today, June 4, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. with a second viewing Saturday, June 5, 2010, from 9 to 11 a.m. The funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. All services will be held at Bennie Smith Funeral Home, 717 W. Division Street, Dover. Burial will be at Sharon Hills Memorial Gardens, Dover. Letters of condolence may be sent to www.benniesmithfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are being handled by Bennie Smith Funeral Home.
