Quillen, 48
DOVER - Christopher Shane Quillen passed away, Friday, April 23, 2021 at Kent General Hospital.
Chris was born September 9, 1972 in Newport News, Virginia to Chanda Kay Kellam Quillen and the late Gilbert Quillen.
He was a master mechanic for Scotti Muffler. Chris enjoyed riding his Harley, mudding with his Bronco, working with "The Boy" in his shop, making things go "Boom", doing doughnuts with "The Girls", ATV riding, Cub Scouts, CR Marching Band and was a member of the 1000 Yard Club and so much more! His 13-mile-long wheelies will live on as his legend. Chris was always adventurous, fun, caring and there was nothing he wouldn't do for his family and friends, but he was the guy that helped a stranger too.
In addition to his father; he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gilbert and Irene "Teeny" Quillen; and grandfather, Guy Kellam; and too many more.
He is survived by his fiancé, Angee Hindt of Dover; children, Cassidy, Sarah and Patrick; and niece who became another daughter, Alexis; his mother, Kay and her husband Leroy Dennison; in-laws, Rick and Bev Hindt, Terry Jelliffe and Uncle Mike J.; grandmother, Chanda Kellam; aunts and uncles, Claire and her husband Leon, John and his wife Carolyn, Cherise and her husband Roger, Ray and his wife Mary Ella; sisters-in-law, Kimberly (Tony) Bellere and Dallas Marcum; brothers-in-law, Joey Hindt and Aaron Jelliffe; and the band of brothers he chose, Michael Marasco, Steve McDougal, Joe Barrett and Matt Dille; nieces and nephews, Kyleigh, Ricky, III and Brian and "That darned dog" Dude ~ but he'll be missed the most by his beloved kitty cat "Scooter".
A Celebration of Life will be held, 2 p.m., Sunday, May 2, 2021 at 3066 Sharon Hill Road, Dover.
