SMYRNA - Christopher Johnson, 48, went home to be with the Lord after a short stay at Kent General Hospital. He resided at Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill, Smyrna. Christopher was preceded in death by his father, Grandville Johnson Sr.; a sister, Victoria Johnson Jarvis; brothers, Michael, Keenan and twin Charlie Johnson, all of Montclair, N.J. He is survived by his mother, Ruth Phyliss Lawrence of Dover; two sisters, Valarie Johnson of Orange, N.J., Stephanie Freeman and her husband Rev. Anthony Freeman of Dover; two brothers, Grandville and Bruce Lawrence of Newark, N.J.; two sisters-in-law, Angie Johnson and Patsy Johnson, both of Montclair, N.J.; and a host of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be 7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 16, at the First Pilgrim Baptist Church, 6 Miles Lane, Camden. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the First Pilgrim Baptist Church.
