Christine A. 'Chris' Wilson, 51

MILFORD - Christine A. "Chris" Wilson, of Milford, passed away Friday, April 18, 2008, at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. She was 51.

Ms. Wilson was born June 28, 1956, in Milford, daughter of Katherine (Beideman) Roberts and the late F. Ruben Irwin.

She was employed as a cosmetologist for 26 years, lastly with Hair Designers, Milford, until she retired from her trade in 2000 because of declining health.

Ms. Wilson cherished time spent with her granddaughter, Kacie, and in the rest of her free time she loved working on various crafts, watching NASCAR races and routing for her favorite, number 88 Dale Earhart Jr., and playing computer games.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Crystal and Christopher Wessel of Milford; Crystal's father, Wayne J. Wilson of Milford; her mother, Katherine B. Roberts of Milford; her stepmother, Betty Irwin of Milford; three brothers, Calvin L. Brittingham of Milford, Dennis Irwin and his wife Anissa of San Diego, and Mark D. Roberts and his wife Karen of Milford; three sisters, Stephanie Hall of Millsboro, Maria Barber of Ellendale and Beth Humes and her husband Ben of Milford; her granddaughter, Kacie Casper of Milford; her best friend, Alice Jackson of Milford; and her beloved companion, her cat, Babes.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave., Milford, where friends may call two hours prior.

Burial will be private.

Instead of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the American Lung Association of Delaware, 422 S. Governors Ave., Dover, DE 19904.
