Columbus, Ind. - Charles Thomas Spicer, Jr., of Columbus, Indiana, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 3:45 a.m. at Miller's Merry Manor in Hope, Ind. He was born June 1, 1933 in Dagsboro, Del., the son, of Charles Thomas Spicer and Roxie H. (Long) Spicer Lewis. He was born and raised in Del. and has resided in Columbus, Ind. since March 2005. He received a Bachelor's Degree from Wilmington College in Delaware. He retired from Delaware Technical & Community College after 37 years of service. He enjoyed doing genealogy and was a member of Downstate Genealogy in Georgetown, Del. He was preceded in death by his parents. He married Calva Ann Lister on February 3, 1968 in Greensboro, Md. and she survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Emily K. (Laura) Spicer of Indianapolis, Ind.; son, Patrick T. (Heidi) Spicer of Sydney, Australia; brother, George Edward Spicer of Dover, Del.; grandchildren, Adelaide & Marshall Spicer of Sydney, Australia, Maurah, Marlow & Atticus Spicer of Indianapolis, Ind. Following Mr. Spicer's wishes he will be cremated with services in Delaware at a later date.
