Charles Marshall Bright Sr., 74

HARRINGTON - Charles Marshall Bright Sr., of Harrington, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 74.

Mr. Bright was born Nov. 14, 1933, in Sandtown, to the late Arthur and Lola (Hughes) Bright.

He was a carpenter, working for Clarence Voshel Carpentry and John Townsend Carpentry. At the time of his retirement, he also worked for Dover Air Force Base.

Mr. Bright was a member of New Life Wesleyan Church, Greensboro, Md., and attended Pilgrim Chapel, Harrington.

He was a member of the Harrington Senior Center.

Mr. Bright was an avid fisherman and enjoyed NASCAR, especially as a fan of Jeff Gordon.

He was a dedicated father, always providing for his family, but most importantly he accepted Jesus as his Savior.

He is survived by three sons, Charles Bright Jr. of Camden-Wyoming, William Bright of Magnolia and Pastor Brian Bright of Felton; three daughters, Debra Bright and Marsha Kibler, both of Greensboro, and Beverly Bright of Felton; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his companion, Ann Schreiber.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, Greensboro, where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Interment will be in Greensboro Cemetery.
