Charles E. Carroll Jr.

CHIEFLAND - Charles E. Carroll Jr. (Chuck) passed away at his home on Friday January 29th 2016 in Chiefland, Florida. He was born in Miami, FL on July 17, 1946. Chuck was a proud United States Marine and served his country in the Vietnam War from 1966-1968 when he was wounded and honorably discharged. He was a union pipefitter for 15 years then joined South Florida Water Management until he retired to Chiefland. Chuck was an outdoorsman at heart, fishing and hunting with his boys. He is survived by his wife, Janice Carroll of Chiefland, FL; his sons, Shane Carroll, William Carroll both of Okeechobee and Jason Carroll (April) of Orlando; and their mother, Wanda Carroll of Okeechobee; sister, Harriet Archer; and nephew, Jerry W Archer Jr., both of Augusta, Georgia. Viewing will be at Buxton Funeral Home on Friday Feb. 5 from 12pm till 1pm. Service 1pm - 1:30pm. Graveside Service to follow at Basinger Cemetery. All arrangements are entrusted to the direction and care of the Buxton, Bass and Conway families of the Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home, 400 North Parrott Avenue, Okeechobee, Florida, 34972.
