Catherine Moore Proud, 78 SUDLERSVILLE, Md. - Catherine Moore Proud, 78, of Sudlersville, died peacefully in the Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C., on Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009, after a lengthy illness. Catherine was born in Bridgeton, N.J., on Aug. 27, 1931, to the late William H. and Sara S. Moore. Catherine, along with her husband Donald, were dairy and grain farmers in the Sudlersville area for many years. She enjoyed reading, playing cards and puzzles. She was a member of the Calvary-Asbury Methodist Church and the Sudlersville Homemakers. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 54 years, Donald W. Proud; son, Donald W. Proud Jr.; brothers, William H. Moore of Newark, Del., Robert P. Moore of Caldwell, Idaho; sisters, her twin, Barbara M. Wright of Middletown, Del., Elizabeth Fauconniere of Perry, Ga., Sally L. Aiken of Cecilton, and Sharyn M. Sheats of Smyrna, Del. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her brother, John S. Moore. Funeral services will be noon, Thursday, Dec. 3, in the Calvary-Asbury United Methodist Church, 103 N. Church St., Sudlersville, where friends and family may call one hour prior. Interment will follow in the Sudlersville Cemetery, Sudlersville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in her memory to the Calvary Asbury Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O.
