Brunner, 100 MAGNOLIA - Catherine M. Brunner passed away at home Thursday, March 28, 2013. Catherine, the daughter of Irish immigrants Patrick W. and Mary A. Grace, was born in New York City in 1912. At the time of her death she was a member of the Brooklin (Maine) Garden Club. She was also an Honorary Member of Preceptor Delta Chapter (Milford, Del.) of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. While living in Maine, Catherine belonged to the Parish of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Ellsworth. Catherine lived the majority of her life in New York. She and her husband retired to Brooklin, Maine in 1977 where they summered since 1950. She moved to Delaware permanently in 2001 to be close to her daughter and family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert L. Brunner, Jr. in 1992 after 55 years of marriage; and by her brother, James J. Grace in 1996. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Bill (CMS (ret.), USAF Klein of Magnolia; her grandchildren and their spouses, Michael (Lisa), Christopher (Erin) and Jennifer (Jason); and her great-grandchildren, Griffin Patrick and Hailey Grace. There will be a gathering for family and friends from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sat., April 6, 2013 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, with a brief service to follow. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
