Catherine Jane Everett

TEMPLEVILLE, Md. - Catherine Jane "Kate" Everett of Templeville, died on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Westminster Village Nursing Home in Dover, Del. She was 101. Ms. Everett was born on December 9, 1910 in Queen Anne's Co. She was the daughter of the late Sylvester B. and Mary May Everett. She was raised on the family farm near Sudlersville, where she devoted her life to keeping the family's home. She was known throughout the family as being fair and loving to her nieces and nephews. She attended Methodist Churches in the Sudlersville area. She loved cooking, baking for her family, friends and others that just stopped by. Ms. Everett is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Hilda Louise Everett Shackleford, Irene Carr, Mary Elizabeth Clough, Helen Everett Deptula, and Agnes Everett Wenkel. She was also predeceased by her brothers, James Leslie Everett, John Victor Everett and Sylvester "Blue" Everett. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m., Monday, May 14, 2012 at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, P.A. 370 W. Cypress St. Millington, where relatives and friends may call one hour prior. Interment will follow in Sudlersville Cemetery. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.fhnfuneralhome.com.
