Carol Ann Mercer, 57

ROCK HALL, Md. - Carol Ann Mercer of Rock Hall died Wednesday, June 6, 2007, in Chester River Hospital Center in Chestertown. She was 57.

Mrs. Mercer was born on Feb. 11, 1950, in Norristown, Pa., daughter of the late William E. Wills and Lois C. Wills of Cape May, N.J.

She was a 1968 graduate of Upper Marion High School and earned an associate"s degree from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut.

Mrs. Mercer married Edward Mercer in 1977 and they lived in King of Prussia, Pa.

She and her husband owned and operated Mercer"s Building Material in Blue Bell, Pa. They had a summer home in Rock Hall since 1987 and in 2003 they retired and moved permanently to Rock Hall.

Mrs. Mercer enjoyed gardening, travel, Disney and NASCAR. She was a member of Rock Hall Yacht Club.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by a sister, Pamela Wills of Atlanta.

A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Washington Memorial Chapel Cemetery in Valley Forge, Pa. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, 130 Speer Road, Chestertown, where a prayer service will be at 6 p.m.

Instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Give Kids the World, 210 S. Bass Road Kissimmee, FL 34746; or Victory Junction Gang, 4500 Adam"s Way, Randleman, NC, 27317.
