Carmella Angelina Salamone, 64

MILFORD - Carmella Angelina Salamone, of Milford, Del., died Wednesday, March 4, 2009, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 64. She was born in Philadelphia, Pa., the daughter of the late Frank and Carmela (Rossini) Wack. Carmella was a devoted homemaker. She was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, the Newcomers Club, and the Milford Garden Club. She loved to cook, read, knit and travel. Carmella was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was especially proud of her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Rocco Wack in February 2009. Carmella is survived by her husband Anthony Salamone; three daughters, Angela Marie Garlick and her husband William Thomas, Christine Regina Poehlmann and her husband Thomas Joseph, and Sandra Ann Shady and her husband Shane Michael; four grandchildren, Caroline Elizabeth Garlick, Christine Elyse Garlick, Anthony Joseph Poehlmann and Anna Christine Poehlmann; and a brother, Theodore Wack. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, March 9, 2009, at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Seabury Avenue and School Place, Milford. Burial was in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Dover, Del. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963. Arrangements by Lofland Funeral Home, Milford, Del.
