Chestertown - Wayne Clark died with his beloved wife at his side at Chester River Manor on Monday, July 28, 2014 after a brief illness. Born in Easton he was the son of the late Cromwell Dulin and Julia Clark. He graduated from Chestertown High School in the Class of 1956. He worked on the family farm until entering the Army, where he served as a Military Police Officer at the Yuma Test Station, AZ. Upon discharge, he returned to the family farm. He was employed in 1965 by AT&T as a Communications Technician and retired after thirty years. He was a member of the St. James United Methodist Church, the AT&T Pioneers, the Frank M. Jarman, American Legion Post 36 of Chestertown, and AARP. Wayne loved life, had a terrific sense of humor, and generosity of spirit. He was willing to try new things and completed his "bucket list" prior to his stroke. He continued to enjoy the water, nature, travel, theater, and gospel and bluegrass music. He will always be remembered for enjoying his truck and meandering the back roads of beautiful Kent County. Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his parents and his former wife, Nancy Crouch Clark. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen; his son, Dulin Wayne Clark (Crystal) of Bellwood, Pa.; and his daughter, Meredith Gail Lefort (Will) of Eden, Md.; four grandchildren, Connor and Caden Lefort and Mikala and Michael McCracken. He is further survived by his two brothers, Tom (Karen) and Lee (Linda); one uncle, two aunts as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 9, at 11:00 a.m. in St. James United Methodist Church, Worton. Memorial contributions may be made to St. James United Methodist Church, c/o Alice Mason, P.O. Box 156, Worton Md. 21678.
