C. Robert Pardoe

CHESTERTOWN, Md. - C. Robert Pardoe, Sr., 69 of Chestertown, Md., passed away on December 17, 2015 in U of MD Shore Medical Center at Chestertown. Bob was born on September 29, 1946, son of the late Claude Grover and Bertha Mae Simpson Pardoe. He was raised in Cordova and was a 1964 graduate of Easton High School. In 1964 while in Cordova he began operating Pardoe's Lawn and Tree Service which he moved to Chestertown in the late 1960's and is currently operated by his son Robby. Mr. Pardoe was a member of Double Creek United Methodist Church, former president of their SPRC and served as a trustee. He was also a member of the Crumpton Men's Prayer Group, former vice president, board member and finance chairman for Queen Anne's Hospice; Queen Anne's County Plumbing Board; vice president of Crumpton Cemetery Board; charter member of Chestertown Elks, Maryland Arbors Association and former member of Chestertown Fire Co. Bob is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary Lee Walbert Pardoe; son, C. Robert Pardoe, Jr. and Leigh Stant of Chestertown; daughter, Mary Christina Pardoe of Salisbury; brother, Samuel Lee Pardoe and Connie of Cordova and grandchildren, Joel Christopher Pardoe and Madison Lee Pardoe. A viewing will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, December 21, 2015 in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD, where funeral service will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, December 22, 2015. Burial will be held in Crumpton Cemetery.
