Patrick Shamblin WILMINGTON - Baby Brandon Patrick closed his eyes on this world and opened them in Heaven on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012. He was born prematurely on Jan. 2, 2012, weighing 1lb 4oz, and touched more people's hearts in his short 28 days of life than anyone could have ever imagined. He reunited estranged family, reconnected long lost friends, and melted thousands of hearts. People followed daily updates about Brandon's progress online, watched for new pictures and videos to be uploaded, and sent countless messages of encouragement and prayer to his parents and family. Brandon is survived by his parents, Shannon and Kristina Shamblin; his brother, Jacob Annand; his brother, Ryan Annand; and his sister of heart, Megan Heathman; his Aunt and Uncle, Megan and Jarrod Moore; and cousin Allie; his Aunt, Christina Shamblin, and cousin Cameron Cortes; paternal grandmother, Ruth Shamblin; maternal grandparents, Kay Perry, James Perry, and Chris Annand; maternal great-grandfather, Robert Annand; and a host of loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Romie Shamblin. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at Full Gospel Church of Clayton, 1119 Clayton Delaney Road, Clayton, from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a service at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, 2928 Sharon Hill Road, Dover, following the service. If there are rocking chairs in Heaven, Lord, please rock my baby to sleep. He likes to be cuddled really close. So when the angels softly sing him lullabies and rock him gently to sleep, can they please tell Sweet Baby Brandon that Mommy and Daddy love him. And if it's not too much trouble, let him keep his foot out. To express an online condolence, visit www.strano-feeley.com.
