HARRINGTON - Bonnie L. Hughes, of Harrington, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008, in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital. She was 49. She was born in Dover, to the late Ralph and Bernice Hurd Jr. Mrs. Hughes worked for Hardees in the Harrington and Easton locations for the past 23 years. She was a homebody who enjoyed watching TV, and being at home with her family, and her dogs and cats. She also liked to go out to eat with family and friends. She will be remembered as a kind person who would do anything for anybody. She was one of a kind and a loving, dedicated wife and mother. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Melvin . She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Mike Hughes of Harrington; son, Ashley W. Hughes of Dover; sister, Eileen White; numerous brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday in the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. Burial will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. In lieu of flowers, donations to help defray funeral expenses can be made to Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, DE 19952. Arrangements are by the Melvin Funeral Home, Harrington.
