Blanche Watson Crim was born on June 16, 1924 to the late Elzie and Malinda Watson in Slaughter Neck. She departed this life on Nov. 16, 2016 at State Street Assisted Living, Dover. Blanche will always be remembered as an educator, an active member within her church, community, and professional associations. She is survived by her husband Clarence N. Crim, of Dover; son, Michael Lassiter, Sr. (Venessa), of Slaughter Neck; grandsons, Michael Lassiter, Jr., and Joshua W. Lassiter, of Virginia; special great-niece, Arlana Yvette Wright-Harriford (William); special great-great-grandniece, Quinn P. Gant, of Dover; and niece, Patrica D. Miller, of Slaughter Neck; nephew, Jack Lassiter, of Wilmington; great-niece, Cassandra Ann Young, of Slaughter Neck; several great-grand children and sister-law, Jane Wilson (William), of Alexandria, Va.; and brother-law Fred Crim of Seattle, WA and a host of nieces, nephews, great,-great-nieces and nephews and numerous of cousins. Viewing will be held on Friday, Nov. 25, 2016 at 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Home going celebration will be at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016. All services will be held at Whatcoat UMC, 341 Salisbury Road, Dover, DE 19901. Arrangements by McPherson Funeral services Inc., Milford.
