RIDGELY, Md. - Blanche N. Schmitt of Ridgely died Wednesday, June 6, 2007, in Memorial Hospital of Easton. She was 81.
She was born Dec. 18, 1925, in Grasonville, to the late Ernest and Ella Shroth Burns.
Mrs. Schmitt, a lifetime resident of the area, was a self-employed domestic worker.
She loved the outdoors and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter and great grandsons.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, Frank T. Schmitt, who died in 1966; and a sister, Annie Schmitt.
She is survived by one daughter, Shirley Schmitt; one granddaughter, Lisa L. Walls and her husband, Jimmy; two great- grandsons, Ryan Walls and Logan Walls, all of Ridgely; several sisters-in-law; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, Greensboro, with a visitation one hour prior.
