CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Betty Redman Still of Chestertown died Monday, Jan. 8, 2007, in her home. She was 79.
Mrs. Still was born in Galena, daughter of the late Philip and Mary Beatrice (Atkinson) Jones.
She was a branch manager for the Chestertown Bank of Maryland, serving in many positions with the bank in her 40 years of service.
She enjoyed quilting, counted cross stitch and playing cards. She also liked making many lap robes for residents of the Chester River Manor Nursing Home in Chestertown. She loved traveling, too, when time would allow.
Mrs. Still was an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Chestertown. She also was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Frank M. Jarman American Legion Post Auxiliary. She enjoyed donating her time in the Nearly New Shop, Chestertown, as well.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband of 40 years, Howard Samuel Redman, in 1984.
She is survived by her husband, Charles W. "Bill" Still, whom she married in 1995; a daughter, Phyllis Schultz of Chestertown; two sons, Howard S. "Buddy" Redman of Westminster and David A. Redman of Galena; a step-daughter, Lynn Mancuso of Betterton; two grandchildren, Amy Debnam and Brad Schultz; two great-grandchildren, Benjamin Debnam and Eleanor Debnam; three step-grandchildren, Amanda S. Stoops, Carrie Ann Mancuso and Louis F. Mancuso Jr.; and two step-great-grandchildren, R.J. Stoops and Stephanie Mancuso.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, 130 Speer Road, Chestertown, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Burial will follow in Crumpton Cemetery.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund, 101 Greenwood Ave., Chestertown, MD 21620.
