Betty Lou Clough Toulson, 74

SUDLERSVILLE, Md. - Betty Lou Clough Toulson, of Sudlersville, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007, in the Chester River Hospital Center in Chestertown. She was 74.

Mrs. Toulson was born Aug. 11, 1933, in Pondtown, the daughter of the late George Lacey Clough and Matilda "Tharp."

Mrs. Toulson was a lifetime resident of Queen Anne's County and worked as a personal caregiver up until this past year.

She loved her work and caring for others.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, John Richard Lofland.

She is survived by two sons, John L. "Squeakie" Lofland and wife Beckie of Sudlersville, and Michael J. Lofland and wife Diana of Henderson; three sisters, Mabel Lofland of Marydel, Etta Gustafson of Marydel, Del., Elsa Clough of Denton; two brothers, George Wesley Clough of Marydel, and Ronald Clough of Denton; nine grandchildren, Rebecca Fisher of Dover, Del., Cindy Fisher of Centreville, John Lacy Lofland II of Preston, Nancy Lofland of Preston, Christopher Levi Lofland of Star, Patricia Burns of Star, Jason Lofland of Templeville, Joshua Lofland of Henderson, and Amber Wootten of Felton, Del.; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, 370 W. Cypress St., Millington, where friends may call one hour prior.

Interment will be held in Templeville Cemetery, Templeville.
