Betty Jean Elliotte

CLAYTON - Betty Jean Elliotte went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019, surrounded by her family at Courtland Manor Nursing Home in Dover.
She was born on Oct. 22, 1940 in Marion, Va.
Betty worked for many years before retiring for W.L. Gore of Cherry Hill, Md.
Betty loved going to Delaware Park and watching the horse races. She enjoyed the excitement of the Casinos and was fond of her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. She loved traveling and taking cruises and her fun loving nature will be dearly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Melinda Elliotte; her grandson, Elliotte Gordy; and her brother, Charles Reeves.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Deborah Elliotte-Branham and her husband Danny of Clayton; her sons, James "Mike" Elliotte of Smyrna, and Brian S. Elliotte of Wilmington; two sisters, Blanch Berry and Shirley Sheets; four grandchildren, Rayelle Gordy, and Jamie, Sabrina, and Tyler Elliotte; and three great grandchildren, Mattax, Jasmine and Katana.
Services will be private.
