Betty Jane Hale

DOVER - Betty Jane Hale passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2014. Mrs. Hale was born February 22, 1935 in N.J. to the late Art and Hilda Anderson Cronce. Betty worked at Halls Restaurant in Wyoming for 32 years under three different owners. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and cake decorating in her spare time. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Francis R. Hale in 2002. She is survived by her sons, Francis Hale, of Dover, Danny Hale and wife Joan of Pa., and Donald Hale of Pa. Betty is also survived by her daughter, Marilyn Shultz of Dover and her companion, Daniel Biron. Mrs. Hale is survived by her sisters, Clarenda Garrett of Mo. and her husband Ben, and Judy Updike and her husband, Ted of Pa. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren. Services will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford St. Dover, Del. 19904. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Sharon Hill Memorial Park. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com
