DOVER - Betty E. Barcus passed away on Oct. 25, 2009, in Silverlake Nursing Home. She was born in Dover on May 30, 1925, the daughter of the late George and Mary Weller. Mrs. Barcus was preceded in death by her husband, Willard E. Barcus in 2001; two sisters, Eleanor Malloy, and Mary Clarke; two brothers, George Weller, and Hiram Weller; and nephew, Gregory Clarke. She is survived by her son and his wife, Craig and Patricia Barcus of Dover; her daughter, Linda Kellum of Hollister, Mo.; three grandsons, Alan Barcus, Eugene Bobsin and his wife Dawn, and Steven Bobsin and his wife Angi; three great-grandchildren, Skyler, Alyssa and Steven; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday Oct. 29, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover. Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Interment will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Modern Maturity Center, 1121 Forest Avenue, Dover, DE 19904. The family wishes to thank the staff at Silver Lake Nursing Home for their dedicated service and kindness. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
