FEDERALSBURG, Md. - Betty A. Bramble, of Federalsburg, Md., passed away at Genesis Eldercare in Seaford, Del., on July 22, 2011. She was 88. Born in Sharptown, Md., on March 26, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Jerome and Carrie Johnson Griffith. As a young lady, Mrs. Bramble attended Galestown School and later married her husband, the late Fred J. Bramble, Jr., on April 23, 1941. She and her husband, as a young couple, were poultry farmers. She often trimmed friends and family's hair in her home as late as a month ago. She was an avid deer hunter and hunted late into her 70's, getting a deer every year. Later in life, one of her greatest joys was watching deer. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seaford, since 1959. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including a very special nephew, Charles Griffith, Federalsburg, Md.; and a special niece, Phyllis Leggs, Seaford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred J. Bramble, Jr. who passed away Oct. 20, 1998. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Williamson Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Federalsburg, Md., with Pastors Michael Hopkins and Don Hancock of the First Baptist Church officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday two hours prior to the funeral service. Interment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery, Federalsburg. www.williamsonfunerals.com.
