BRoGUE, PA - Bessie R. (Lachmann) Copenhaver, formerly of White Hall, MD, entered into rest on Friday, September 18, 2015 while visiting her summer cottage in Delaware. She was the wife of Robert D. Copenhaver, who passed in Dec. of 2006. Bessie was born in Renick, W. Va on January 22, 1922. At the age of 18 she moved to Maryland to find work, where she worked at Bendix Radio, and Martins in Baltimore. After retiring at age 65, she spent her time babysitting and spent time sewing, canning, and baking, as well as helping her family. Bessie is survived by her daughter Sara F. Copenhaver and her companion Donald E. Keesee; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren that she loved very much. A celebration of life will follow at a later date after cremation. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to your local food bank. Arrangements in the care of Short Funeral Services, Milton.
