Bertha Nola Bright

Bertha Nola Bright, 82 MILFORD - Bertha Nola Bright, died Tuesday, January 26, 2010, in Kent General Hospital, Bayhealth Medical Center, Dover. She was 82. Mrs. Bright was born in Baltimore, Md., the daughter of the late Russell and Evelyn Gorman. She worked as a seamstress for several years at Coopersmith's in Milford. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafts, crocheting, and working with plastic canvas. Nola also enjoyed watching the "Young and the Restless" on television. She loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Nikki Murray, and her companion, Cade Wilkins and great-grandchildren, Tyler Griffith and Jacob Wilkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reynolds Bright in July 2009. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Jimmy Melvin and Donna and Bruce Harrison, all of Milford, and Elaine and Donald Feyerabend, of Harrington; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her special friend and caregiver, Bessie. Funeral services were 1 p.m. Monday, February 1, 2010, at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Ave., Milford, where friends called Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. Burial was in Hollywood Cemetery, Milford-Harrington Highway, Harrington.
