Berlin Chipman Fox, 72

SANDTOWN - Berlin Chipman Fox, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, in his home. He was 72. Mr. Fox was born May 2, 1936 in Harrington, to the late Joseph and Linda Fox. He worked as a carpet installer for Crystal Rug Service, retiring after 36 years. After his retirement, he worked 10 years as a handyman for Fifer Farm. He was very proud of the fact that he was never late for work. Mr. Fox was an avid bowler, hunter, and fisherman. Mr. Fox is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lula Cecil Fox, of Sandtown; his sister, Rosalee Williams, of Tucson, Ariz.; four nephews, Robert Fox and his wife Laura, of Sandtown, Bill Fox, of Houston, David Fox and his wife Bobbi Ann, of Blades, and Lee Tribbitt and his wife Dawn, of Denton, Md.; his niece, Linda Tunis, of Blades; and numerous grandnieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt. 10), Dover. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday evening. Burial will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford St., Dover, DE 19904, to help defray funeral expenses. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
