Barbara L. Long, 71
DOVER - Barbara L. Long, 71, of Dover, passed on Sunday, Nov 2, 2008, in the Hospice Center in Milford with her family at her side. Born on Sept. 29,1937, she lived in London, England, finally settling in Dover in 1971. She worked as an administrative Assistant for Transportation Solutions within the Delaware Department of Transportation for the State of Delaware, retiring in July 2008. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Michael Davis of Chesapeake, Va., and son and daughter-in-law, Steve Long and Leslie Heath of Dover; her sister, Rita Wilson and brother-in-law Peter Wilson of London, England; four grandchildren, Brandon, Brittany, and Ryan Davis, and Seth Long; godson, Mark Wilson and nephew Christopher Wilson. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday in the Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 South Bradford St., Dover. The family request that donations can be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Hwy., Dover, DE 19901, or The Hospice Center in Milford, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
