Barbara E. Sartin

SMYRNA - Barbara E. Sartin went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 24, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late Reese and Beatrice Moffitt on Oct. 20, 1937. She was preceded in death by her brother, Martin Moffitt; and sister, Janet Chas. A consummate mother and homemaker, Barbara was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family. Her interests included gardening, sewing, reading, and putting puzzles together. Barbara is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Hazel J. Sartin; son, Michael V. Sartin and wife, Maritza; daughter, Judith A. Tait and husband, Dave; daughter, Pamela L. Sartin; and son, Matthew R. Sartin and wife, Shannan. She had nine grandchildren, Michael Sartin, Jr., Hannah Sartin, Phoebe Tait, Andrew Tait, Lindsay Sartin, Ava Sartin, Sophia Sartin, and Lucas Sartin. Services will be held privately. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
