SMYRNA - Barbara D. Moor passed on April 26, 2018.
She is survived by her husband, Alfred M. Moor, Jr. of over 59 years; her son, Alfred M. Moor, III (Freddie) and his friend Sue Walls, whom was by her side at the time of her passing; her grandson, M. Sidney Moor and his wife Hallie; two great-grandchildren, Eliza Macie (Birdie) and Everett Massey (Evie), and Carl and Sherry Eierman.
She is also survived by special friends, Gail Montgomery, Jeff Startt, Rose Ford, Mattie Miller, Jamie Correll, Johnny Smith and the men at the farm, and her many co-workers at Acme Markets where she worked for over 40 years including Judy, Gail, and Barbara Ann.
She enjoyed traveling in her younger years and working around the farms. In her later years she loved taking care of her dog, Arthur, watching the horse races with Al, going out to dinner with friends, and keeping flowers for the season in the old grain drill at the end of the farm lane.
She loved looking for treasures at the Salvation Army and auctions.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cora and Harold Hilyard.
Special thanks from the family to Drs. Mills and Sawhney and the staff at Bayhealth who gave her wonderful care. She had special names for a few of the girls that were very kind and dear to her throughout her many visits to Bayhealth.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Kenton Ruritan, Kenton Church, and Clayton Fire House.
Friends may call on Monday, April 30, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Faries Funeral Home, Smyrna. Services will be at 12 p.m. Burial will be at Bryn-Zion Cemetery immediately following the funeral.
