MAGNOLIA - Barbara A. Mader, 69, died peacefully, with her family at her side, at her home in Magnolia, on Saturday, April 25, 2009. She was born in Lock Haven, Pa., the daughter of Frances and Jacob Mader. Barbara lived the majority of her life in Philadelphia where she worked at Bell Telephone of Pennsylvania from 1957 to her retirement in 1996. She moved to Delaware in 2000 to be closer to her family. She enjoyed bowling, her women's church groups in Philadelphia, reading and was an avid Eagles and Penn State fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jackie and Gene. Barbara is survived by her sister, Suzanne Mader Wells of Dover; two nieces, Farrah Aiken and Alexis Rash, both of Delaware; a nephew, Joel Mader of McElhattan, Pa.; and four great-nephews and two great-nieces. A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Friday, May 1, at the Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming. Friends may call beginning at 6:30 p.m. Letters of condolences may be sent to the family at 26 Lordship Lane, Dover, DE 19901.
