Barbara A. Billings

SMYRNA - Barbara A. Billings of Smyrna, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Kent General Hospital in Dover. She was 71. Mrs. Billings was born December 3, 1940 in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Granville H. and F. Marie Lee. She enjoyed crocheting and working on plastic canvas projects. She liked traveling, eating out, and her pets. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and she will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Louise Libonati; and her brother, Allen Briefman. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Billings and her fiancée Howard of Smyrna; two sons, Wayne Billings and his wife Michelle of Clayton, and Randy Bell and his wife Sherry of New Castle; six grandchildren, Amanda, Zachery, Jeffrey, Jarrett, Brittany, and Starr; five great grandchildren; one great grandchild due in June; her sister at heart, Linda Jarvis; a niece, Shirley Swain; three brothers, Sammy, Happy, and David; and two sisters, Sydney and Maxine. Memorial services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, May 17, 2012 in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St., Smyrna, where friends may call at 1 p.m. Burial will be private.
