Audrey Storrer, 88

DOVER - Audrey Storrer of Dover died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 88.

She was born in Burlington, Kan., to the late David Arthur and Amanda May (Wray) Ziegler.

Mrs. Storrer married the late Conrad Ray Storrer in 1944.

After 30 years of Air Force life she settled with her family in Dover in 1970.

Mrs. Storrer was an avid and accomplished bowler and is in the Bowler Hall of Fame. She was a life time member of the Women"s International Bowling Congress.

Her bowling career culminated in her assignment as the secretary of the Lower Delaware Women"s Bowling Association.

In later years, she activity participated in charitable programs sponsored by Kent General Hospital. Mrs. Storrer crocheted dozens of beautiful baby afghans for donation to newborn babies at the hospital.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Myrna Lee (Storrer) Albert, in 1984; and her husband, Conrad R. Storrer, in 1991.

She is survived by her son and his wife, Gene D. and Mary Storrer of Tucson, Ariz.; her daughter, Karla and her husband Tom Norato of Springfield, Va.; two grandchildren, Alan Storrer of Greenwood, Ind., and Malia Handlon of Indianapolis; and two great-grandchildren.

Services were in the Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus St., Dover, where services will follow.

Burial will be at Barratt"s Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Kent County SPCA, 32 Shelter Circle, Camden-Wyoming, DE 19934, on her behalf.
